Last week was very busy – we learnt all about worship in a mosque and produced some lovely posters to demonstrate our understanding of this. In art we developed our knowledge of calligraphy, this time replicating Chinese calligraphy. In Maths we finished our topic on fractions and in writing we write a persuasive letter why girls should go to school. In science we looked at the digestive system.
DT
We have nearly finished our purses that we have made in DT. They are lovely and we have worked really hard.
World book day
We had a great day looking at the book ‘Welcome to our planet’ by Oliver Jeffers. We really got into the shoes of the author, writing an information text in his style.
Reading
Year 4 love reading and we have a lovely display in the corridor which shares our favourite books with you. When you are in school please stop and have a look and see if you can find us with our favourite book.
The Beginning
It has been a very busy start to the term! We have started a new topic about fractions in Maths, in RE we are studying Islam and in English we have a new book.
This is our new book.
We also have a new class reading book –
Please come back to see more about what we have been doing.
